Client Area: migration

Ripserve will be migrating all its server operations to Germany after 10 years in the UK. The new servers are carbon neutral, have better backup facilities, more memory, more storage, and are more cost effective. The move will be complete by 11 May 2011.

We have already moved several key websites over, including www.ripserve.com. The process should have minimal impact on customers.

Client's domain names will need to point to the new servers. The new primary IP address is 178.77.103.212.

Email will be switched off on the morning of Sunday 1 May so customer data can be copied to the new servers. Existing usernames and passwords will function as before.

Ripserve will cease to trade as a limited company, but the brand name will be taken over and run by JDP, a director.
